Yes I fall short of perfection,
Yes I fall and stumble in my humanity,
Yes I fall to the temptations I feel,
Yes I fall to the desires of my blood,
I cannot say I am without sin,
I cannot say I have never lied,
I cannot say I have never drank,
I cannot say I am the epitome of love,
Though through my darkness I can see light,
Through the evil dwelling in my mind
I feel that no one is different than me,
We are all corrupt in the eyes of God,
But through the innocent shed blood of God’s lamb
He has made us clean of our stains,
I do not pretend to be perfect,
I am no hypocrite, in my imperfection
I am trying to reach that pinnacle of light.
