The End

The end is coming,
The end of all endings,
An end of an era that has lasted
Two Thousand years,
Wake up world, The end is coming,
It started when God molded this
Universe into life and death,
The end is coming.

He died nailed to a cross,
He rose three days later from death,
He lives in strength, power, and glory,
He is coming again.

Nothing else has to happen,
No other signs must be posted,
The second coming is upon us,
He will stand on that mount and rule,
None will stand against Him,
He died for us, now He will bring justice to
The unjust of the world who hated Him.

Hey world, wake up,
The end is coming,
Jesus is coming again,
The end of what we know is upon us.

People with foolish lust and pride
Will fall into fire,
The fires of justice will prevail,
The end is coming,
I have fallen so many times,
I feel the guilt of failure,
I love Him with all of my heart,
Why can people not see the truth,
He died for you and me, why can you not see?
How can people hate, how can anyone hate,
God forgive us.

Oblivion

First, I saw a headless man
Holding his own severed head:
The head held ten eyes and in
Its mouth were fangs of fire;
With pale skin and drawn features;
I saw its mouth in motion,
What beast could laugh in such a way,
And on the head I saw a crown,
The crown of the world;
The man stood with iron feet upon our
Small blue planet, tainted by man,
I could see the dying planet as it
Rocked and shivered from foul disease
Man had brought down and cursed it with.

The headless man held in his other hand
A staff with seven stars shining bright,
It crackled with terrible striking lightning,
I tried to hide my own fears as
The blackness curled around his feet.

From the evil palate of the world,
Bitter, savage, brutal, anger writhing
In inky tendrils across the face of the land;
The headless beast struck the world
And watched as the Earth broke under him,
The winds flew, the oceans rocked,
And the ground cracked, spewing hot fire,
The oceans boiled and blood appeared,
Punishing man for the evil he spread.

Second, I saw a figure riding a
Dragon, blacker than any midnight:
Acid dripped from the creature’s mouth,
Burning and destroying where the fluid touched,
And in the figure’s right hand he carried a
Scythe, gleaming cold in the face of
The headless man who saw and sent the
Dragon riding creature into the world,
Killing all who refused the headless mark,
Torturing and persecuting them.

Third, I saw the suffering of all on the Earth
As they fled from the eyes of the beast:

Running and dying for what they believed,
Hot tears burn my eyes as I watch
Them destroyed in the death camps,
Shrinking to nothing.

And finally I saw the truth,
A figure riding a white steed
Carrying in His hands, two books,
The book of life, and the book of
Judgement,
In His eyes I saw the deepest love, and a
Deeper sorrow that haunted my own soul,
He was dressed in white, and He
Wore the armor of His word,
And as His foot touched the Mount of Olives
The world shook, sending all to their knees,
And the headless man and his death kneeled before
Jesus, The King of Kings.

The Word

The words I hear echo around me,
Words of my Lord and Savior, Jesus:
He who gives up his life for me shall save it,
Love those who hurt and persecute you,
Do not judge, and you will not be judged,
Forgive and you shall be forgiven.
His words, his spirit lives in me,
He is my master, my God:
He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
My heart is held by him,
He died for every sin I have committed,
As the rain falls I look up from
The wet ground,
Looking up, I hear the crying,
I see my Lord nailed to
That wooden cross.

His body in pain, bleeding, tortured,
He has been laughed at and scorned,
Though he begged his Father to forgive them,
For they knew not what they did,
Our eyes meet, am I even worthy
To see my Savior;
All I see in his eyes is love,
He speaks to me, no one else hears:
I am dying for you because I love you,
You are my knight, where the armor
I have provided for you,
Spread my word, live the life,
Be one with me, and I shall be one with you.
Oh my Lord, how I have failed,
Forgive me, I love you with
All of my heart and soul,
Please forgive me.

Temptation and Sacrifice

What wicked ways have tortured
My now weeping body,
When my mind and body sin,
My soul cries out for my savior,
To strengthen and comfort this weak
And shivering, denied love, spirit;
I am not strong, not worthy
Of the gift our Lord God has given;
When I stand abreast of so many
My mind is lost in the darkness;
It seems the lion rips from my
Form and wreaks havoc and chaos with
What he can see before his animalistic eyes;
The house on the far ridge
Crumples in the howling winds;
The shield I possess drifts
And fades from my grasp.
The world explodes before my sunken eyes
And then my lungs seem to implode,
The beast stands laughing at my pain,
The inner lion possesses this mortal form as he will,
The struggle like a never ceasing lava flow,
To grasp my own destiny and life,
To have the strength to say no;
Why does my body scream and fight so?
What curse has this body brought upon itself?
When I see such beauty or sense
That sweet smell that calls to the lion;
By blood and fire does he spring with
All of the power endowed to him by
My own mind, my own choice,
Yet, it seems the choice is not my own;
The ground shakes wildly as
He feast upon that lovely form,
And enjoys ever last tender moment.
Then there is a flash of light,
And a strong gust of wind,
A man standing, dagger in hand
Grabs the lion by the neck,
Though he does not kill it;
He struggles against its power,
Fighting with his evil, wicked side;
Is he losing to this creature,
What power could stand against it?

Then by the strength that created him
And with the hand and power of Christ
He locks the lion inside his own body,
Only with the strength of God and
The help of his Savior can he survive;
Let us rejoice in our Lord for
His divine grace and sacrifice,
We are strong in the Lord,
And in the power of his might.

Silence

Once again I sit in silence,
The day as beautiful, no words,
This day, all of my life I have
Loved the way it makes me feel,
My renaissance melodies playing in tune;
The glass on the table, red vine inside.

The last notes of the music playing,
Red cranberry, touch of bitter,
Why is it always this way? Alone?

Wait, I sit here in silence and I
Am not alone, my silent friend, close,
He never says anything, just listens,
Jesus is his name, and once long
Ago he died in my place, as I
Would if not he sacrificed himself for me,
The sunlight filtering down through the leaves;
I am never alone, but the need
Inside me, for fair eyes to see
And a smile to enjoy escapes me,
Sometimes its so hard to live,
Its so, iron grip brings you down;
Yet, my silent friend never leaves,
He is there giving me strength and
A shoulder to cry on, comfort;
I feel the breeze, cold once more,
Blowing through my meadow of peace.

Leaves

The leaves rustle on a nearby branch,
With the passing of the summer winds,
The winter peaking over the northern hills,
Smiling and teasing us with her tender kiss,
One small leaf, floating through the air,
Sailing upon the autumn breeze, adrift;
The sky, half blue and half gray reminds
Us of the chaos that never ceases;
Turmoil in this pathetic world,
May the fire of God fall upon it,
Small leaves falling to the earth
As tears and sorrows of one.

Breath

The breath of life passes through me,
Where does my life come from?
Do I only imagine being alive,
What is this sense of unreal life?
I walk, never faltering through time,
Alone, except of one true friend:
Together we see the world until the end,
No love I hold, only brotherhood,
And the everlasting love of my creator,
Live with the knowledge of eternal life,
Why do I grow so weak?
I take a breath of the cool air
Taking in the beautiful day,
Knowing that one day everything will change,
In this mortal life I pray,
One day I will breath the
Breath of living immortality.

Living On

The Sunlight filters down
On the cold, hard ground;
The birds fly, gently on
The cold breeze at dawn;
The sad music dances before
My grown eyes;
Memories of past times
Fade into view;
Where has time gone,
Why do we keep living on;
A red cardinal pecks at the dust,
Sparrows perch on the cold fences;
Where is there to go,
Why must we grow old;
To live forever, to go where
Paradise is, the blue
Water drifting into the
Sandy shore.

Green leaves grow and catch
The sunlight, trees, deep roots,
Live forever, where are you;
Where is the Son of Man,
We struggle everyday, grasping
For the light, My eyes look
To the heavens for an answer.
Tears, falling into the earth
As they murder the children,
They know not what they do;
For His wrath will be
Of Fire and Death.
The children of the Father,
Forever fallen, yet some reach
For His hand, please, do not
Forsake us, Come quickly,
Take us from this place,
Oh Lord Jesus.
